Technology

Objective

The objective of the Project's Technology area is to graphically work on the locations where native nests and swarm nests exist, providing accessibility to information on each bee species on a virtual platform, in a practical and didactic way.

Methodology

To carry out this stage, fieldwork will be carried out to collect coordinates of the totems that are being distributed throughout the Park using GPS; The data collected from the fieldwork will be entered into the QGIS 3.10 software, which is a professional, free and open-source Geographic Information System (GIS) application for generating maps and building a database with key information about the species.

Information about each species will be linked via QR Code to the identified points, thus facilitating access to information for users of Dona Sarah Kubistchek Park about bees and the environment necessary for their well-being.

Maps with georeferenced bees and information about native bee species will be included on the Institute's website and in social media posts.

Goals

The goal is to develop an easily accessible digital platform with educational links to assist the population interested in the environment and nature preservation, as well as through dissemination, reach the maximum audience, offering courses, lectures and the proliferation of environmental education.
